
Mike first moved to Spokane in 1985 to attend Eastern Washington University where he achieved a degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration. He was the first in his family to graduate from college. More importantly, he met his future wife Dena at freshman orientation. Today they are raising their daughters Madi, a student at Lewis & Clark High School, and Kait a student at Sacagawea Middle School.
Mike currently owns his own small business, Madkat, Inc. a marketing and publishing firm. This is his second small business. Previously he owned a coffee distributorship in Central Washington called Ames Bros. Coffee.
Mike served as the Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations at Eastern Washington University.
Mike teaches adjunct at Whitworth University and Eastern Washington University. Classes taught include Marketing and Non Profit Management. He also served as the Whitworth University Business Plan Competition Coordinator in 2010/2011academic year.
